Each step is entirely worked by Richard, the drafting of the design, purchasing the raw stone to cut and grind into shape, then polishing it before it is set in gold or silver. Each stone requires at least 10 steps before it is ready for its final polish and setting. Richard Chavez has earned name recognition thanks to the perfection he strives for in his work. His designs have won numerous awards since his first competition in 1976.
